Technadyne has contributed its expertise to a wide variety of projects. Here
are brief summaries of some of them. Or, you can read about them here in more detail.
Waste Management
Technadyne has performed Waste Management work for many years
in support of the nuclear waste repositories design at the Yucca Mountain and
WIPP sites. We have been involved in practically every facet of the projects,
including mechanical design, structural engineering, cost and scheduling, project
planning, program management, computer applications, data base support and records
management.
Reactor Safety, Risk Assessment and Consequence Evaluation
Technadyne has a wealth of experience in reactor safety. We have completed probabilistic
risk assessment studies and analyses for DOE facilities, including consequence
evaluation -- looking at the consequences associated with severe reactor accidents.
We are performing risk assessment and consequence evaluation for transportation
of nuclear weapons and reactor materials. We have also assisted Sandia National
Laboratories in the development of reactor safety codes such as MELCOR, CONTAIN
and MACCS.
Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H)
Technadyne is currently supporting SNL, LANL and DOE in a variety of ES&H
related projects that span the spectrum of laboratory and facility operations.
Safeguards and Security
From the very beginning of our operation, we have been in the Safeguards and
Security business. It is a predominant part of what we do in support of SNL,
DOE Headquarters and most DOE facilities. This work includes the design, development
and implementation at DOE facilities of advanced safeguards and security systems.
Specialized Systems Development for Commercial Applications
Technadyne has utilized the technology transfer mechanism with SNL to develop
security hardware and software systems for commercial and government applications.
State and City Governments
Technadyne provides computer applications and programming support for the State
of New Mexico and the City of Albuquerque.
Robotics Technology
Technadyne has provided design, fabrication, and trouble-shooting support to
Sandia National Laboratories for instrumentation and control systems at Sandia's
Robotic Vehicle Range, including documentation, office communication, and written
manuals for safe/standard operating procedures for equipment. We have also been
involved in advanced vehicle design and development.
